Norina L. Columbaro has over 16 years of experience in training and development, human resources, and technical communication. Her business, Performance for Life Consulting, began in 1999 and has served a wide variety of clients from academia, business, and industry. Throughout the course of her career, Norina has managed training and development departments, overseen human resources projects, and coached business owners, executives, managers, and individual contributors. She has delivered courses, workshops, retreats, in-services, and speeches to businesses, public schools and professional organizations as well as colleges and universities throughout the United States. She has also developed and licensed courses in areas of technical writing, communication, team building, professionalism, career development, management, and leadership. Norina is certified in AchieveGlobal, Saville-Holdsworth Occupational Testing, DiSC, and Development Dimensions International (DDI). She is also a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC) through the World Association of Business Coaches (WABC). Norina has conducted research studies in Colombia, South America on multinational orientation training programs. She also developed a leadership 360-feedback instrument that was used at Bowling Green State University to assess academic department chairs. She is published inHuman Resources Development Quarterly, International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and Epsilon Pi Tau Technology Education Journal. She has recently presented her research about online doctoral degrees at the Adult Education Research Conference (AERC) and on e-mentoring at the Midwestern Research to Practice Conference. Norina taught Introduction to Communication Technology at Bowling Green State University. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at DeVry University teaching the blended learning courses, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving and Business Communication. Along with the Key Bank Operations and Information Services Group Training Team, Norina was recognized in 1997 with the Greater Cleveland American Society for Training and Development Leadership Award. In addition, she received recognition in 2005 for her accomplishments in conjunction with the Cuyahoga Community College Technology and Information Literacy Initiative. She has been inducted into Sigma Tau Chi Technical Communication, Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership, and Epsilon Pi Tau Technology Education Honor Societies. Norina is a member of:
